Terms and Conditions

All cakes made by Creative Cake Shop are subject to the following terms and conditions:

CAKES

All novelty cakes are based on 10” square/round and feed 30-35. We can make novelty cakes bigger at an extra charge. All our ingredients are fresh and cakes are made of vanilla sponge with jam and butter cream unless stated otherwise. Other fillings are available on request. Sponge and chocolate cakes do not have nuts as an ingredient but their may be nut traces present. Our fruitcake does contain nuts and alcohol. Our cakes are made with vegetable fats and contain dairy products. Cake stands can be hired for £20 which includes a £10 refundable deposit and cup cake stands can be hired for £50 which includes a £40 refundable deposit. All stands need to be returned within five days.

EDIBLE IMAGES & SUGAR MODELS

Edible images can be put on almost any cake. Editing and altering images may involve extra charges. We can scan and print any photograph or image. Whenever an image is scanned and printed the quality deteriorates so make sure you give us the best quality pictures you can. If you wish to supply a digital picture, we only accept jpg images.

ORDERS

You will always be given a written order confirmation by email or post. Please check it and notify us if anything is not correct. We require a minimum of 2 weeks notice on all celebration cakes and 3 months for wedding cakes. Please order as early as you can. For bespoke cakes, we can only create the finished article from we interpret from the wording of your order. 24 hours after your cake has been ordered and paid for, any further alteration will carry a £5.00 administration fee. If an inscription, colour or any other choice is left un-selected on your order then we reserve the right to use our own discretion.

PAYMENT

We require a non-refundable £10 deposit for celebration cakes and £100 deposit for wedding cakes. The balance is due on delivery/collection for celebration cakes and 4 weeks before for wedding cakes. We only accept cheque, cash or paypal.

DELIVERY

All cakes are delivered boxed. We offer free delivery within Merseyside, if delivery is required outside of this area, then we will provide a quotation. Please note, no liability can be accepted for damage to any cakes while in transit. All cakes will be delivered on your chosen delivery date. We do not offer specified delivery times. If you require your cake before a specified time please contact us.

CANCELLATION

The deposit can not be refunded. Work already complete is chargeable.

CUSTOMER COMPLAINTS

Corrections and repairs to cakes can be corrected on the same day in most cases. You are required to give us this opportunity and must let us know of the problem within one hour of accepting your cake. Some complaints may require further investigation and an immediate refund may not always be possible. Cakes, or part of cakes, must be returned within three days to ensure we are able to fairly assess the nature of the complaint. The maximum refund we offer is the value of the cake and delivery. Further compensation is not available. We will make every effort possible to ensure your cake exceeds your expectations. However, in some instances the finished product may differ slightly from the fact that each cake is individually hand made. At all times we will endeavour to delight you with our quality of products and service.

CAKE STORAGE & SHELF LIFE

All cakes should be stored in a cool dark place on a flat sturdy surface. Never put cakes in the fridge other than fresh dairy cream cakes. Sponge, Chocolate and Carrot cake will keep for one week after delivery if covered. Fruitcake last perfectly well for months not years.
